1. Select System Preferences...
2. Select Printers & Scanners
3. Click Add (+) to set up a printer
4. Secondary click (or control + primary click) in the top of the pane (in the area where Fax, IP, Windows, Default and a search bar may appear). Select Customize Toolbar. Click Customize Toolbar
5. Drag the Advanced item (displayed as a gear) into a space in the top of the toolbar.
6. Click Advanced
7. Select Windows printer via spoolss
8. Enter smb://172.20.2.15:139/biprintshare
9. Enter [printername] of your choice
10. Select Select Software... (In case you can not find the driver on the list, you must install it first. Click on following link to install: Download Printer Driver for Mac)
11. Select "Lexmark Universal Color" and then Click OK
12. Click on Button Add
12a. Click Configure
12b. Select Duplexer, Tray 2, Tray 3, Tray 4 and Multipurpose Feeder and click OK
12c. You have installed the printer successfully
13a. FIRST PRINT FOR STUDENTS
- Select Registered User
- Enter STUDENT\[OIS_Username] --> Your OIS Username without []
- Enter [OIS_Password] --> Your OIS Password without []
- Select Remember this password in keychain
13b. FIRST PRINT FOR EMPLOYEES
- Select Registered User
- Enter STUDENT\[2020network_username] --> Your OIS Username without [], like STUDENT\max.mustermann
- Enter [2020network_password] --> Password without []
- Select Remember this password in keychain
To insert a backslash "\", press [SHIFT]+[ALT]+[7]
